Out today on Helix Records, “High in Ibiza” sees HoneyLuv team up with Marshall Jefferson and rhys from the sticks for a hedonistic, dancefloor-ready tribute to Ibiza at the height of summer
Friday August 21, 2026 – Rising electronic music star HoneyLuv and house music pioneer Marshall Jefferson join forces on “High In Ibiza” feat. rhys in the sticks, a high-energy house cut out today via Helix Records. Built around a driving groove and hooking vocals, the track channels the energy of Ibiza and of partying in long summer nights, arriving during HoneyLuv’s biggest Ibiza season to date and as Marshall Jefferson marks 40 years since his all-time dancefloor classic “Move Your Body.”
Opening with rolling synths and playful, catchy vocals from rhys from the sticks, centered around the catchy line “I hope we get high when I’m in Ibiza”, the track builds into a euphoric piano-house ascent that channels the electric energy of the White Isle and the carefree spirit of its day-to-night parties, from sun-soaked beaches to packed club floors.
“‘High In Ibiza’ feels like one of those records that just makes sense. It’s sexy, euphoric and has that feeling of a summer night you don’t want to end. Creating it with Marshall Jefferson makes it even more special,” says HoneyLuv.
The release lands during a milestone year for Jefferson, marking 40 years since his seminal 1986 record “Move Your Body.” Widely regarded as one of house music’s founding architects, Jefferson helped shape the genre’s early sound through his pioneering use of piano, while his work on “Acid Tracks” played a defining role in the birth of acid house. His influence continues to resonate today, with his recent collaboration with Maesic, “Life Is Simple (Move Your Body)”, becoming a global breakout with more than 140 million streams and a #1 position on Global House Shazam.
For HoneyLuv, the release arrives at the height of a standout Ibiza season, following a string of performances at some of the island’s most celebrated institutions, including Amnesia, Hï Ibiza, UNVRS and Pacha. A fitting soundtrack to her growing connection with the White Isle, “High In Ibiza” captures the energy of a season in which HoneyLuv has firmly established herself as one of the island’s rising names. The release adds to an already major year for the artist, who continues to expand her footprint across the global electronic music scene with a steady run of dancefloor and airwave hits, alongside international dates at some of the world’s leading festivals and events.
Bringing together powerhouse names in electronic music in their own right, “High InIbiza” pairs HoneyLuv’s signature energy and rising momentum with Marshall Jefferson’s iconic house sound and rhys from the sticks’ infectious vocals, delivering a track built for the height of Ibiza season. With both artists set to take the record to dancefloors across the island, alongside further dates throughout the season, “High In Ibiza” is set to become one of the defining sounds of the summer.

About Marshall Jefferson:
Marshall Jefferson is one of house music’s foundational architects. As a solo act, the Chicago-born producer recorded 1986’s “Move Your Body”, widely acclaimed as “The House Music Anthem,” and is now celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. He also helped produce Phuture’s “Acid Tracks”, the first and most influential acid house record, pioneering the genre’s squelching TB-303 sound, as well as Sterling Void’s gospel-inspired anthem “Someday”. A pioneer of piano in house music, Jefferson later moved into a more emotive, atmospheric sound that came to define deep house, with tracks like "Open Your Eyes" and 1996's "Mushrooms" becoming perennial club classics. He has stayed consistently active in the decades since, releasing music and touring with his recent single with Maesic, "Life Is Simple (Move Your Body)," becoming a global breakout, surpassing 140 million streams, 1.2 million Shazams and 150 million social views, with over 43,000 TikTok and Instagram creations, and hitting #1 on Global House Shazam.

About rhys from the sticks:
Rhys Kirkby-Cox, professionally known as rhys from the sticks, is a British artist, songwriterand vocalist whose work sits naturally between electronic music, left-field pop, club cultureand sharp, character-driven songwriting. Before launching his rhys from the sticks project, Rhys became known as one half of the brother duo Everyone You Know. With EYK, he built a serious artist story from the ground up: over 200 million streams, a major-label run, touring across the UK and Europe, and performances at festivals including Reading & Leeds, Roskilde and Boomtown. The project also earned support from Jack Saunders at BBC Radio 1, Steve Lamacq at BBC 6 Music, and Elton John on Apple Music, while their track She Don't Dance was featured on the FIFA 20 soundtrack. That experience gave Rhys a rare perspective. He understands songs from both sides: as the writer in the room and as the artist who has to stand behind the record on stage, in interviews and in front of a real audience. His writing is direct, melodic and emotionally observant, often bringing a distinctly British voice to electronic records without losing the honesty or attitude of his own artist identity. Since late 2023, under the rhys from the sticks name, he has become an increasingly in-demand collaborator across the global dance and electronic landscape. His recent work includes cuts and sessions with Vintage Culture, Josh Baker, FISHER, Rossi, Lost Frequencies, Armin van Buuren, Glockenbach, Argy, Sub Focus, J.Worra, John Summit, Gorgon City, D.O.D., Marlon Hoffstadt, OMNOM, Hannah Laing, Anti Up (Chris Lake & Chris Lorenzo), Nariman and others. He is also currently writing with Dom Dolla, bullet tooth, Odd Mob, Topic, A7S and Miles Kane. With a background rooted in live performance, songwriting craft and club-facing collaboration, rhys from the sticks continues to deliver direct, modern, emotionally literate electronic music built from real experience.
